Book covers

My painting "Clio", from the series The Nine Muses is on the cover for this book. Later this year two other works will adorn the fronts of books: one about pregnancy and another for a poet... I like the idea that the paintings can live their life in other disciplines.

Article in “Minerva” Sep 2014.

The Liberal, conservative magazine Minerva asked me to write about a Masterpiece.

From today and four weeks ahead I will find myself in Vienna, Austria. Golden culture is waiting to intoxicate my forthcoming project and me. I have a plan, but if you know a hidden place or secret, please enlighten me. In Kunsthistorisches Museum I will make a copy of Helena Fourment ("Das Pelzchen"), made by Peter Paul Rubens in 1636/1638. http://www.khm.at/en/visit/collections/picture-gallery/selected-masterpieces/ Why Rubens when he’s not even a favourite of mine? My desire wanted to make a Titian copy. However, studying Titian is like alchemy, you can’t really exactly tell...

Tomorrow I'm having an Open Studio Day and a moving sale where I'm selling some of my paintings, sketches, drawings, and studio stuff. Here is a little taste of what I found in the nooks and crannies of my studio... Larger paintings... Some of these are drawings and oil sketches I did while in Italy...Rome, Palazzo Belmonte... Below is, among other things, one of the dresses from used for a performance at the opening of  The Nine Muses show at Galleri Trafo in 2009. My chaotic painting table and a "Parisian mood" painting.
